Following the global downturn of property stocks over the past few months, I've reduced my European property exposure even further to only 2.4%, and increased my European exposure to 7.5% accordingly. I was fearful of the China bubble and switched out DWS China Eqty to DWS Global Themes in anticipation of the correction but it never came. Bad decisions on my part.

As these are my first couple of months into unit trust investing, I made a couple of mistakes:

1. Bought funds purely based on FSM recommendations without first researching the funds to see whether it is the best fund that suits my risk profile. (Eg. Aberdeen Pacific Eqty & First State Bridge - I find them not volatile enough. Should have used FS Bridge for CPF-SA.


2. Made too many switches. Switches reduced my overall returns on my portfolio.


3. Didn't have an asset allocation plan that I'm comfortable with, but starting to develop it towards the end of 2006. Less swtches as time goes by.
