Jul 24, 2007 - Russian GDP grew by 7.8 pct in the first half of 2007 compared with the same period of 2006, said deputy prime minister Alexander Zhukov.
In June, GDP growth was 8.2 pct year on year, Russian media cited him as saying.
In the first five months of the year, the rate of economic growth had been 7.7 pct year on year, according to the government. In May, GDP grew by 7.9 pct.
